Digital menu for fast food

eMeni is a digital menu for fast food: guests order and pay from their phone or at a kiosk, get a number and follow on a screen when the order is ready. The queue keeps moving at peak time, and staff retype nothing.

How it works in practice

Lunch break, queue to the doorGuests order from their phone while standing in line or at the kiosk, and the counter staff only hand out. One counter serves twice as many people.
Number 184, readyThe pickup screen shows numbers in preparation and ready. Nobody shouts, and guests who ordered by phone also get a notification.
Combos and extrasMeal, large meal, no onion, double meat: guests choose themselves, and the kitchen gets an exact ticket. Fewer mistakes, fewer returned orders.
Ordering aheadGuests order for an exact time, pay in advance and pick up without waiting. The kitchen sees when to start.

Frequently asked questions

Do we need a kiosk, or is a QR menu enough?

It depends on the venue. For a high-volume counter the kiosk takes over part of the queue, and the QR menu covers guests who prefer ordering from their own phone. They can work together, in the same system.

How do guests pay?

By card at the kiosk or on their phone, or in cash at the counter. All orders go into the same reports.

What happens when an item runs out?

Mark it unavailable in the admin portal and it disappears from the kiosk and the QR menu instantly.

Does it run on the screens we already have?

The pickup screen and the kitchen display run on an ordinary TV or tablet, and the kiosk on a touch-screen device.

How fast does staff learn it?

The kitchen display has three statuses and one tap per step. Training usually takes one shift.
